Mistletoe Nails

Here's a simple set of nails with a gorgeous burgundy color!

The black textured polish was by Julep from their Stardust Finish line. I love any textured polish and this one wears really nice on the nail!

I painted the rest of the nails with the metallic burgundy and grey color. On the grey nail, I painted some tiny polka dots all over.

Once they have dried, I piled up some green glitter on tip of the nail and then put some dark pink beads as the flower and our mistletoe mani is done!

Simple and cute right?

Products Used:
Burgundy, Grey - Butter London,
Textured Black, Green Glitter - Julep
Black - Sasatinnie
Pink Beads - Sally Hansen

Ipsy April 2016 Unboxing and First Impression

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that comes with a new makeup bag and 5 beauty sample products for the price of $10 USD/month.

Click HERE to join Ipsy!

This month's makeup bag comes in a faded blue, orange and yellow marble pattern style which i think is very soothing to look at!

What I got this month:

Tarte - Lip Surgence in Wonder - 1.6 g

This is a reddish pink color in a matte finish but not drying. I love Tarte as a brand and I have a couple of these Lip Surgences already so I will sure enjoy this new shade to my colleciton!

Ofra - Eyeshadow in Bohemian - 2 g
I have heard about Ofra lots online and this will be my first product from the brand. The eyeshadow is very pigmented and it is in a shimmery brown shade. This will be a very easy to wear neutral color. Can't wait to try!

Pur-lisse - Face Masks
I am happy to get 2 of these masks! I have tried this brand before and I quite enjoyed their products. I got one in blue lotus with white tea, and another one in blue lotus with seaweed. I love any face masks and I will sure enjoy these!

REN - Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream - 30 ml

The claims on the packaging sounds like a all in one cream: "Hydrates and replenishes... Protects against free radicals and environmental aggression. Combats signs of premature aging. Trains skin to be less sensitive". Wow, can it really do all these? It came in a good size too!

LAB - Blending Beush
I have been getting lots of this size of brushes in subscription boxes and this one feel a bit rough to be honest. However, I will still put it in my rotation for blending eyeshadows.

Candy Cane Nails

Another festive and glittery nail art with candy cane accent!

The base colors are solid white and red. This combo is actually great for lots of occasions in the year!

For the candy cane nail, I used nailart tape diagonally and blocking off different thickness of the nail. Click HERE to read more tips and tricks for using nailart tape plus other tips!

Then I used the same red polish to paint over the entire nail and removed the tape right after I painted the red.

I finished the manicure off with some gold glitter and we are done!

Products Used:
Red - Julep
Gold - Maybelline
White, Gold Glitter - OPI

Bow on Green Gift Wrap Nails

Here's a duo chrome green Christmas wrapper with a cute bow ribbon!

The base color is this gorgeous mermaid blue/green duo chrome polish by Butter London. I LOVE this polish! It is hard to see the duo color in still pictures but in different lighting it reflects different shades.

On the 4th finger, I stamped on a bow using my stamping set and I filled it in with a white polish. Then I painted on the white stripes on the other fingers as the ribbon.

To finish it off, I outlined the white with a gold glitter to add on some glamour for this manicure and I also added a gold stud on the bow!

Products Used:
Green - Butter London
White - Revlon
Gold Glitter - Julep
Studs - Sally Hansen

March 2016 Empties and Reviews

There are tons of product to talk about this month. Let's start!

Josie Maran - Argan Lip and Cheek Color
I had these color sticks for less than a year and they dried up! They are now extremely sticky and wouldn't apply on the cheek without picking up my foundation. I do not like using them on the lips so they just need to be tossed.

Lorac - Pink Glitter Lip Gloss
The shade of pink is very nice but the glitter makes it feel very unpleasant on the lips with the grits! It's also getting old so I am trashing it.

Etude House - Dr. Lash Eyelash Serum
I quite like this serum since there are not many of these lashes serum on the market. However, I am not sure if this really work to lengthen and volumize. I bought this in Asia.

Too Faced - Shadow Insurance
I liked this eye lid primer! I use a primer for the eyes everyday and this one worked well. It is comparable to the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Julep - Oxygen Performance Top Coat
I liked this nail top coat and I think it made my manicures dry a little faster! I just didn't like that I couldn't see how much is left in the bottle.

Cailyn - Lip Tint
This was an intense red lip color but it was quite dry and matte on the lips. I guess that was a good thing for bright colors so it wouldn't move around too much. I didn't get to use it too much and it is getting old so I am tossing it.

Ole Henriksen - African Red Tea See the Difference Serum
I liked this serum as it was vitamin C based which is supposed to be very good to the skin. It smelled very citrus like that can be quite refreshing if you use it in the morning. The texture is light and easy to absorb. Like!

Josie Maran - 100% Pure Argan Oil
I have used this argan oil for a while and I have tried both the 100% Pure and the light version. I like both and they are both moisturizing for the skin. This one is a bit thicker and oilier.

Lise Watier - Eye Makeup Remover
This was a 2 part solution with oil which was effective on waterproof makeup. It was nothing crazy special and it got the job done.

Dr. Jart - Ceramidin Cream
I had a tiny sample tube of this cream and it was ok. It was pretty easy to spread and absorb into the skin.

Crabtree and Evelyn - Iris Hand Cream
I like this floral scent hand cream. I have used multiple tube of these Crabtree handcreams and they are ok. They are not as thick as I would like a hand cream to be.

Elizabeth Arden - Flawless Future Face Cream SPF 30
This face cream was quite thick and moisturizing. I liked that it had an SPF of 30 so I could add on or replace the sunscreen for that day!

Clarins - Eye Serum
I liked this gel type eye serum. It felt nice and refreshing on the eye area since it was a light gel texture!

Mitchell and Peach - Fine Radiance Face Oil
This was a light face oil which was not greasy at all. It absorbed quickly into the skin since it was very light. It didn't really smell like anything to me which was good!

Jurlique - Skin Balancing Face Oil
This oil was ok. The smell was very strong (too strong) that I don't think it was good for me since any fragrance is irritating to the skin. The texture was thick and it felt like it was just sitting on the skin.

Santa's Suit Nails

Here's a cute Santa's suit French tip style nailart!

To start, I painted burgundy tips on the nails and a red polish all over the middle nail. They are both from Julep!

I then took a dotting tool and painted on the white seam on the burgundy nails and a fluffy white strip down the centre of the red nail.

After waiting for the previous coats to dry completely, I painted the black belt across the Santa's body. Then I finished it off with a gold square as the belt buckle!

Products Used:
Red and Burgundy - Julep
White - OPI
Gold - Sally Hansen
Black - Cover Girl
