Abstract Stamping on Red

0

Some people might say nail stamping is not nail art? I don't think so since it still takes practice to make it good! Here's a cool abstract lines stamping manicure.

For the base, I used a red by Julep on all fingers. I waited for this layer to be completely dry before stamping on it.

Then I took my stamping plate set and stamped on the pattern with a opaque black polish by Kiko. You would want to use an opaque color for any stamping for a better result.

After cleaning up around the nails and applying top coat, we are done!

Ipsy April 2017 Unboxing and First Impression

0

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that comes with a new makeup bag and 5 beauty sample products for the price of $10 USD/month.

This month's bag is a bright neon orange/coral colored "Ticket" shaped one and I think it is very cute! I love the neon coral color! It's so fun!

What I got this month:

Jesse's Girl - Liquid Eyeliner in Black - 1 ml
I tried this eyeliner a long time ago I think it was also from Ipsy but this new one has a fine felt tip (the one I had was a brush tip I think). This eyeliner is super black and it doesn't smudge! I tried rubbing it off my hand after the swatch had dried and it didn't move at all! I am very impressed! Thanks Ipsy for re-introducing Jesse's Girl eyeliner to me.

OFRA Cosmetics - Format Blush - 4 g
This is a glowy brown blush which I thought would be a bronzer and that is what I would be using it for. It is very smooth and applies nicely when swatched. It comes in a magnetic pan so you can pop it into your empty palette.

Ciate London - Bamboo Bronzer in Palm Island - 2.2 g
The shade I got is a very light which is only good for light skin tone. It has tiny gold glitters but they are not noticeable on the face. It also claims to have skincare benefits that it can soothe and smooth the complexion with oil controlling ingredients. That's sound very good to me! Let's see how it perform!

MintPear - Vitamin C Serum - 8 ml
I like using Vitamin C on the face to brighten and lighten spots. I am happy to see that it contains all natural ingredients! I will sure use that in my skincare routine!

Josie Maran - Whipped Argan Oil Face Butter - 5 ml
I think this is a new product by Josie Maran. The texture of this face butter is actually not as thick as I thought because of the name "butter". It is a nice creamy moisturizer with all the good ingredients for hydration. Plus points for it being fragrance free!

Baby Blue and Baby Yellow

0

Let's do another quick Easter themed manicure! This one only required two pastel colors and it was super easy to do.

For the base, I chose a baby blue and a baby yellow polish. You can pick any pastel colors of your choice!

Once the base had dried, I used the opposite colors to paint the tips of each nail making french tips with them.

I then used a small detailing brush to draw the Easter egg pattern on the accent finger. It's simply polka dots and triangular lines. Easy right?!

And that is it! Of course, a top coat over everything to seal it all off!

What's in this box:

Tarte - BB Tinted Primer in Medium - 30 ml
I am so glad I got this primer in this box because I have tried this before in a sample pack and it was really nice.  This does make your face makeup wear longer. It has a tint and you can wear this on its own. I like how it has SPF of 30 as well!

Catrice - Eyeshadow Palette in Rose 010
This palette has gorgeous rose and cool tones colors. The texture of them are ok and not too creamy. The darker colors swatch better than the lighter ones. Overall I think they are very wearable and you can do a complete eye look with this! I am excited to try them on my eyes.

Incoco - Nail Wraps in Masterpiece
I have tried nail wraps from Incoco before and I enjoyed them very much. They are easy to apply and last for about 2 weeks on the nails! I got the gorgeous marble pattern and I really like it since I never do water marble! I like how these are made of real nail polish and are thin enough so they don't peel easily. These strips already has base, color, and top coats so all you need to do is stick them on and you are done!

etre belle - Golden Skin Roll-On Caviar Eye Gel -  10 ml
I have received this eye gel before from a subscription box and this is a nice light gel. I like the roller ball it has for application since it can massage the eye area. It sounds like it is a very luxury product and I will sure enjoy this again!

Studio 10 - Brow Lift Perfecting Liner - 1.38 g
This is a duo brow pencil with a greyish color and a nude color. The texture of both seems to be a bit dry when I swatched it. I usually don't really use any nude color product to define my brow as I think that is too made up. I also don't like that you have to sharpen the pencil instead of it being automatic.

eb5 - AHA Cleanser and Toner - 22 ml each
This is my first time encountering this brand. The cleanser claims to be non-irritating, moisturizing, and exfoliating. The toner has a range of vitamins and botanicals. Let's see how this pair perform. They come in a good size too so there should be enough uses to test them out!

Easter Chick on Teal and Yellow

0

How adorable is this little chick manicure? It's perfect for Easter so let's start!

The base color is this soft baby teal by Julep and it's called Alyssa. It applies so creamy and smooth! I love it!

On the index finger, I painted a baby yellow polish by CND. I also painted a half circle off to one corner on the middle finger using the same yellow polish for the head of the chick.

I then dotted the eyes and mouth to complete the face of the chick.

To make it more festive, I painted some polka dots on the index finger using the teal polish. After applying top coat and we are done!

Products used:
Teal - Julep
Yellow - CND Vinylux
Black - Sephora Formula X
White - Color Club
Orange - Mineral Fusion

Red/White/Blue Dry Brushing

0

Here's an easy dry brushing manicure using the classic red, blue, and white shades.

Can we appreciate the architecture of the Sagrada Familia church designed by Gaudi in Barcelona, Spain? The inside is even more mind blowing! Ok, the nails are out of focus, but we can focus on the background this time!

For the base, I was trying out the polishes by Collistar and Wycon.

The red polish by Wycon was an one-coat-wonder! Very smooth and pigmented!

On the white nails, I started dry brushing using the same red polish in vertical and horizontal directions.

Then I repeated the dry brushing using a blue polish by Kiko. I did it messily to create an effortless graffiti look. After applying top coat and we are done!

Polishes Used:
Red - Wycon
Blue - Kiko
White - Collistar
