Nail Stickers on Ombre Pink Stamping

I realized I have quite a lot of nailart stickers that I have not put into good use so here I did a simple pink nails with floral stickers and stamping!

I used a cream beige and a baby pink as base colors.

On the 2nd and 3rd finger nails, I did a simple ombre/gradient with sponging on shades of pink. As usual, I used tape around the nails to protect the skin so I would have minimum clean up to do! I also stamped on some floral pattern on these nails but they showed up quite light.

I then used some flower stickers from this Etude House nail stickers sheet to add some decorations on the thumb and 4th finger nails. Girly and cute right?

Products Used:
Baby Pink - Butter London
Beige - Deborah Lippmann
Magenta - Zoya
Nailart Stickers - Etude House

Newspaper Nails!

I have seen this newspaper print nailart on social media quite a lot and I wanted to try it out myself! It was actually super easy to do. Let's start!

I cut out some small pieces of black text actually from some flyers I have laying around.

Then I simply put the piece of paper into water to soak. I have seen some other nailart tutorials using alcohol but I found plain water works just fine!

Using a light polish as base color is preferred so the newspaper text can show up easier. I painted my nails using a baby blue polish.

After soaking the newspaper piece for about 10 seconds, I took it out and simple pressed the side of the text onto the nail. I held it there for about 5 seconds to check and the text print was transferred onto the nail! It was quite impressive how easy it transferred!

I repeated the same steps for the rest of the nails. You can overlap the text and repress on the same nail if you want more text print on one nail. And that is it! Top coat and we are done! Simple right?

Ipsy Oct 2016 Unboxing and First Impression

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that comes with a new makeup bag and 5 beauty sample products for the price of $10 USD/month.

This month's bag comes in a super cute Halloween print on a metallic baby pink background! I love this design and Ipsy does not disappoint on the bag design every time!

What I got this month:

Ciate London - Fierce Flick Eyeliner in Black - 0.3 oz
This is my first time trying Ciate's makeup. This eyeliner has a felt tip and it applied very black and intense. It seems like it's smudge-free on my hand and I can't wait to try it out on my eyes!

theBalm Cosmetics - Hot Mama Blush - 0.57 g
I already own and love this blush! This is a peach pink blush with a minor golden sheen which is very flattering! I will be putting this at my office makeup stash for mid-day touch up!

Noyah - Natural Lipstick in Smoke - 1.4 g

This color swatches as a dusty mauve pink. However, when applied to my lips, it looks very grey which I think it's cool because I like to have different colors to play with. It feels creamy and has a satin finish. I love how it uses natural ingredients too!

Pur-lisse - Daily Lip Nourisher - 4.5 ml
This lip treatment contains mango and shea butter, rice bran oil, and jojoba oil. It also claims that it is petroleum free. It seems like a very nice well rounded lip balm. I can always have another lip balm!

MeMeMe - Blush Brush
This seems to be a nice and soft brush. However, it's a bit small for a normal size blush brush. It might be more suitable as an under eye setting brush or travel brush.

Jade Honeycomb Glitter

For this manicure, I was experimenting with some glitter flakes. I have quite a few types of these glitter and I need to play with them more!

For the base, I used a deep grey and a metallic jade green on the 4th finger.

I then placed the glitter flakes on the 2nd finger one by one and filling the entire nail. I also added some on the middle finger and pinky. This took a little while to place. I first painted some clear polish on the nail then I used a dotting tool to pick up one flake at a time to place it on.

The glitter I used was actually light blue in color. However, when placed over the dark grey they look like a jewel toned green! At the end, I painted a thick layer of top coat over everything to make sure they last long and do not have corners sticking out!

Products Used:
Dark Grey - Julep
Metallic Green - Butter London

Orange and Gold Dotticure

Here's an easy and cute orange and gold polka dots with glitter.

The bases here these vibrate colored polished. The gold glitter on the 4th finger was a textured glitter from L'oreal. I love texture glitter as they are so different and also easy to apply.

On the 2nd and 3rd fingers, I dotted some different sizes polka dots using the white and orange polishes.

Then I dotted some gold colored dots on top on them and purposely overlapping some to make it a more effortlessly effect. For the tiny dots, I used a toothpick which is always handy for nailart.

Products Used:
Textured Gold Glitter - L'oreal
Orange - Mineral Fusion
Gold Glitter, White - Julep
Gold - Sally Hansen

Glossybox Sept 2016 Unboxing & First Impression

Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription with 5-6 luxury products which costs $21 USD per month. There is also a little discount if you subscribe to a longer period of time.

This month's box comes in a beautiful watercolor design illustrated by Antonio Soares, who is an expert in fashion art and has worked with high end brands! I really like the design on the box!

What's in this box:

Korres - Twist Lipstick in Grace - 2.5 g
The color I got is a rose pink which is quite sheer. But it still adds a nice color on the lips and it is a bit shiny which wears comfortably. It has raspberry oil which is moisturizing and provides antioxidant. It has no scents at all which I like! I enjoy this lipstick!

Modellauncher - Brow Duo Pencil in Taupe - 0.2 g
This brow pencil comes in a angled tip and it is nice in application although I can be a bit more creamier. The color is a cool taupe with a hint of redness. I like how it has a spoolie on the other side of the pencil. I will use this for sure!

Phyto - Hair Oil - 30 ml
This hair oil can be used prior to blow drying for heat protection or as a finishing touch for frizz control. It comes in a spray form and the oil is very light weight. I use hair oil all the time and will sure put this to good use. But I think hair oils in general all perform pretty much the same and I am not too excited for this product.

Borghese - Mascara in Superior Black - 3 g
This mascara claims to "lift, separate and curl your lashes with a curved wand that follows the natural shape of your eye". It would be great if it can do all that! I love getting and using deluxe sized mascara as you are supposed to toss out mascaras in 2-3 months anyway so this size is perfect!

Sesderma - Face Cleanser and Liposomal Serum - 15 ml/3 ml
This is a very watery cleanser and you are supposed to use it on a cotton pad and sweep to clean the face, without the need of rinsing. I normally do not use this kind of cleanser but I will still try is out on light makeup days. But I still like the actually cleanser that you rub onto the skin then rinse. The serum comes in a tiny eye dropper style bottle which claims to have "antioxidant, moisturizing, clarifies spot marks, and reduces wrinkles" properties. Sounds a bit too good? Let see how this perform.

Pink Dry Brush and Glitter

Here I am playing with more color combination for dry brushing and these set was super simple to do. Let's start!

The base pink color was Butter London's The Sweet Pot. It was very creamy and easy to work with. Here I did 2 layers of this color.

On the thumb and 4th finger, I topped the base color off with a purple glitter which was super sparkly!

I then started drying brush on the 2nd and 3rd fingers. I first used a royal blue polish and lightly dragged the brush across both vertically and horizontally.

I repeated the dry brushing with a white, burgundy, and silver over the same nails. After top coating and we are done!

Polishes Used:
Pink - Butter London
Silver - Spa Ritual
White - Revlon
Burgundy - Color Club
Blue - Julep
Glitter - Bourjois
