Burgundy Stamping and Studs

0

Let's do a fall color simple stamping mani!

I got this stamping plate and set from eBay and you can find great deals of nailart supplies there!

I also used these amber square jewels to add a little something on the index finger.

I stamped the sort-of square pattern onto the middle finger with a beige nude base. On the 4th finger, I simply painted a dot to decorate it. I didn't really know what I was looking for from this mani when I started but it turned out pretty nice I think!

0

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that comes with a new makeup bag and 5 beauty sample products for the price of $10 USD/month.

This month's makeup bag is a sparkly artistic dancing body figures that spell out IPSY. I think it is pretty cool!

What I received in this month's bag:

Too Faced - Lip Injection Extreme - 1.5 g
I was a bit nervous to try this out to be honest because I have heard that this lip plumper hurts badly! But it actually doesn't hurt at all! I didn't feel any tingling or pain. My lips were plumped just by a tiny bit and it wasn't very noticeable. Maybe I already had a little lip balm on when I tried this out. I don't like the smell which is a cherry flavoured medicine scent.

Trust Fund Beauty - Nail Polish in Champagne Socialite - 17 ml
Yay for nail polish! I finally got a Trust Fund Beauty polish from Ipsy. I know this brand does non-toxic nail polishes and I have been waiting every month to get this! This is a rose gold color and I can't wait to try this out!

Seraphine Botanicals - Guava Butter - 4 g
This is a lip and cheek stain and I love the color I got! It is a peach tone neutral color which is my favourite blush color. Plus points for a more natural ingredients list too. It goes on very smooth and it blends out nicely! Like!

ToGoSpa - Eye Masks - 3 pairs
These are the green tea eye masks which claims to be "the energy drink for your face, AKA dark circle warrior". It can soothe brighten, de-puff, and moisturize. Sounds pretty good! I love any masks and I will sure use these.

Eau Thermale Avene - Hydrating Serum - 5 ml
This is a serum for very dehydrated sensitive skin and I think everyone can benefit from it. It is from France and I know this brand has been around for a long time with their thermal spring water as their staple ingredient!

Bronze Leopard Nails

0

Here's another animal print mani! I love doing animal prints since they can be messily drawn and still have a very impressive look!

The base color was Julep Soleil which was a bronze gold metallic polish. I painted the 4th finger differently with only the tip just to have a little variety.

Then I used a white polish and painted some spots on directly with the polish brush.

I then outlined the white spots with a black nail striper to complete the leopard print. After applying top coat and we are done!

Polishes Used:
Bronze - Julep Soleil
White - Revlon
Black - Color Club

This month's box has a theme of summer sun-kissed look and there is a booklet of product description instead of a brochure card.

What's in this box:

Too Faced - Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil - 1.15 g
I have never heard of anything like this before! This product comes in a mascara tube and applicator and it is supposed to dissolve your waterproof mascara. I wonder how well does this work. I can't wait to try it out since I love using waterproof mascara!

Trifle Cosmetics - Lip Parfait Buttery Lip Cream in Guilty Pug - 3.5 g
This lip stick comes in a cute paper tube packaging with a pug looking guilty on the tube! I got a peachy color which is what I prefer over pink. It goes on very smooth and it is a creamy lipstick.

Wella Professionals - Oil Reflections Smoothing Oil - 30 ml
I use hair oil regularly on my long hair and this one contains lots of nice ingredients such as macadamia seed oil, avocado oil, and vitamin E. It comes with a pump and it has a light oil texture which spreads quickly into the hair. It has a pleasant sweet fragrance as well. I will put this to good use for sure!

Invisibobble - Traceless Hair Ring - 3 pieces
I own and use this type of hair ties already and I am glad to get more in colorful pink. I usually get mine from Daiso (a Japanese dollar store) for way cheaper. I think the $8 USD for 3 pieces is quite overpriced. Anyhow, I will still use these!

De Bruyere - After Sun Lotion - 50 ml
This lotion contains Monoi, which are Tiare flower petals that have been soaked in coconut oil (learning something new all the time!) This is an after sun lotion that can calm and nourish the weakened skin. It has a very strong floral scent.

Borghese - Body Refining Polish - 14 g
This is a body scrub and it smells like spa with a hint of citrus. The scrub beads are similar to sugar and maybe that is what they use as one of the ingredients.

Demeter Fragrance Mixing Kit

0

Disclaimer: The products featured were provided for review. Thank you Demeter Fragrance Library and Canadian Beauty Bloggers for the opportunity to create a personal perfume!

I received a cool fragrance mixing kit by Demeter with 3 scents that I picked before hand. The Foolproof Blending Trio kit allows you to blend, bottle, and design the label of your own custom fragrance! I have learnt from Demeter Fragrance Library's website that each of their fragrance has a single note and is simple so you can blend them with others to create your own unique scent with your favorite top, middle, and bottom notes.

My picks for the Trio include Gin & Tonic, Salt Air, and Jasmine. I have always love jasmine scent so I had to get it. For the other 2, they sound very unique and I never have a fragrance smelling like those therefore I picked them! Each of them is 30 ml in volume. They are actually quite lovely on their own and I would totally wear them separately but I couldn't wait what I would get from blending them together!

Also included in the kit are blending tools including an empty refillable 30 ml bottle for the custom blended fragrance along with droppers, funnel, and lots of tester paper strips.

How cute are these stickers? The kit also included some decorating stickers and a marker for you to design your very own personal bottle of perfume! What a nice touch!

Let's start blending!

First I prepared the bottles by taking off all the spray caps and took out 3 droppers. I started by adding equal amount of all 3 fragrances into the empty bottle. The scent at this point smells very strong of the Jasmine, so I decided to add more of the Gin & Tonic and Salt Air.

I tracked the number of pumps by marking it down on paper! The final scent I came down to consists of 24% Jasmine, 33% Salt Air, and 43% Gin & Tonic. Jasmine is still the first scent that you can identified when you smell the blended perfume since jasmine is the strongest on its own. The final scent is floral scent plus a fresh base note which is quite nice.

After mixing I decorated the bottle with the provided cute stickers and I have decided to name my fragrance Boat Party! This name was inspired by the scents Gin & Tonic and Salt Air - party drinking on the ocean! I thought it was quite appropriate, right?

I enjoyed this fun perfume blending experience and once again thank you Demeter Fragrance Library and Canadian Beauty Bloggers for this opportunity!
