This month's theme is travel and the bag is a yellow with red mail stamp all over it. I think it's very cute! Like! 👍

What I got:

Trèstique - Mini Matte Blur Stick
I was most excited about this item from this month's bag! I love a good blurring primer and this one really does blur the lines on the back of my hand. It says you can also wear it over your makeup to instantly reduce shine and it won't mess with your makeup. How cool is that? Love!

First Aid Beauty - Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
I love First Aid Beauty and I am happy to get this serum to try out! I already love their Ultra Repair Cream which is super moisturizing and can heal patchy dry spots. I love a good hydrating serum and always try to use one under my moisturizer. It's a clear gel which absorbs into the skin very quickly!

Veneffect Skin Care - Micro-Exfoliant
This is my first time hearing this brand. I use exfoliant all the time in both physical and chemical form. I like that this one contains grapeseed, soy, pomegranate, and willow bark, so it adds some beneficial properties on top of the scrubbing!

Slimissglam - Beauty Sponge
I use a beauty sponger everyday to blend my foundation and concealer. I mostly use the Beauty Blender. This will be my first time trying Slmissglam sponge. It seems to be a bit firmer than the Beauty Blender but it has the bell shape with a flat edge. I will see how this performs!

Pureheals - Centella Green Tea Mask
Another new brand to me. I do face mask everyday and love trying out new ones. This one contains green tea (detox) and vitamin C (brighten) - yes to both! It says you can also use it as a targeted spot treatment for blemishes and dark spots. Interesting. I will be using this tonight!

Blue Leopard Print

0

I always say I love doing animal print nails because they are very easy to make and yet can be quite impressive! This time I chose blue as my leopard pattern theme.

I used a cream white and silver polish besides the blue.

On the white nails, I dabbed some light blue polish straight from the brush in the bottle.

I then outlined the light blue patches with the darker blue polish using a detailing brush to complete the leopard look, and that was it!

Polishes used:
Blue and White - Julep
Light Blue - Spa Ritual
Silver - Mineral Fusion

This month's make up bag is a cute and pinkish tone one with butterfly print and rose gold details. I really like it and have already been using it in my purse!

What I got:

Ciate London - Startruck Double-Ended Stamp Liquid Liner
At first I didn't think I would like this stamper eye liner but after playing with it by stamping on my hand and pretend its a tattoo, I think this is so fun! The normal felt tip liner side is super black too. However, I wish the formula is more long lasting. The ink stamp seems to fade easily. But overall I love it!

Wander Beauty - Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks
What a fun name "baggage claim"! I love any masks and this gold foil technology lets the serum to fully soak into the skin before evaporating. It says it can brighten, reduce dark circle, and hydrate. Yes to all please!

Paula Dorf Cosmetics - Bronzer in Bora Bora
This brand is new to me and the bronzer powder feels very smooth. It swatches nicely on my hand. I like that the color is not too dark so I can slowly build it up until I am satisfied. The bronzer has a brown undertone so I won't be using it as a contour shade.

Purifect by Symphony Beauty - Micellar Cleansing Water in Coconut
Another new brand to me. I learned about how the name "micellar" got used from reading about it on Ipsy website. "It looks and feels like your everyday H2O, but it contains microscopic molecules called micelles that act as magnets and attach to dirt, grime, and other icky stuff lingering on your skin." Hey you learn something everyday! I use micellar water once in a while (I normally use a cleansing oil) and will be using this for sure! It removed my hand swatches pretty darn well!

Ruby - Eyeshadow Blending Brush
OMG the brand Ruby? It's my brand!! Haha. I like brushes in this size and shape for my crease color. It is made with synthetic material and it feels quite soft!

Triangle Blocking Tips

0

Here's a simple color blocking manicure with no special tools required!

After the base pink polish had dried, I painted on the black and silver onto the corner tip of each nail. I made different sizes of the block for a more random look.

Then I simply paint over the tips with the other color and covering the first block partially. And that was it!

Polishes Used:
Black and Pink - Julep
Silver - Spa Ritual

0

BoxyCharm is a monthly beauty subscription that focus mainly on makeup with 4-5 full size products. It costs $21 USD per month.

What I got this month:

Pretty Vulgar - Make Them Blush in 111 Prim Vixen
I was most wowed by this product when I opened this box because of the gorgeous gold packaging. I have never tried anything from this brand and this blush is in a bright pink color! I don't usually go for blush color like this but hey, that's why we get subscription boxes right? It feels super smooth and luxurious to touch! I am excited to wear this on my cheeks!

PUR - Eyeshadow Palette
This is a pretty big palette with 12 eyeshadows. Most of them are very creamy and pigmented! This is my first time trying PUR eyeshadow and I quite like them. The color scheme here is more peach, pink and neutral, which is easy to wear.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company - Eye Brush Set
There are 3 brushes in this set and they are all nice and soft. I like that they are white so I can see if I have leftover colors on the brush before applying new color. Every makeup wearer can use more eye brushes right?

Butter London - Double Decker Mascara
This mascara claims to give you 200% thicker lashes with 314% increase in curl! Haha, 314% that precise hey? This is my first time trying Butter London mascara. I already love their nail polishes and I hope their make up is good too!

South Mane Beauty - Under Eye Gel Mask
There are 3 pairs of eye masks in the pack and I have already tried them under my eyes. They are soft gel patches that stay on very well. I like the feeling of the gel but it was hard to tell if they did anything after just 1 use. I love doing masks tho!

Elegant Burgundy with Jewels

0

Why don't we do a simply elegant jewels nails this time? You can re-create this with any colors you want! Let's start.

For the base, I used this gorgeous burgundy color by Butter London. It's call Pash. I left out a half moon shape with no polish on the index finger.

Then I took some Sally Hansen silver studs and some clear polish to line the index finger and placed a triangular shape on the middle finger. I also added one stud on the 4th finger.

A tip for making sure the studs stay well is to dab extra clear coat around the studs after placement. This might decrease the reflective properties of the studs so try to dab around them instead of piling on top.

Products Used:
Burgundy - Butter London - Pash
Silver Studs - Sally Hansen

This month's bag has a "creativity" theme with cute black and white print for coloring. There are two crayons in the bag (extra items) that you can color on the bag! Fun right?

What I got:

Tarte - Sex Kitten Eyeliner
Who doesn't need more black eyeliners? I love Tarte and I am excited to try this eyeliner. It claims to be smudge proof and that is a big factor for me. It swatches easily on my hand but I think it can be more black. I like the twist up and how pointy it is tho! Can't wait to try on my eyes.

Finding Ferdinand - Mini Lipstick in Rose Gold
I have never heard of this brand but I am surprised by the quality of it. It is a creamy lipstick and the shade I got is so flattening (rosy pink). It claims to have sunscreen in it so the lips are protected. It's very comfortable and non-drying. I love it!

Benefit - BAD Gal Bang Mascara in Pitch Black
This is a brand new mascara by Benefit and it claims to give you 36 hours of full-blast volume. It has a slim brush that claims to reach every lash. Let's see how this new mascara can give me volume!

AHAVA - Purifying Mud Mask
This mask is made with mud from the Dead Sea which claims to detox, unclog pores, and still boost hydration. Sounds pretty good right? Usually I find mud or clay mask a little drying. Hope this one is good!

BRTC - Jasmine Waterful Foaming Cleanser
I have used this Korean brand years ago but only tried their BB cream when BB cream was still new. This cleanser claims to remove makeup (even long wear lipsticks) and exfoliate when keeping the skin hydrated. That seems to be a lot of goodness claims for a cleanser. I know the Jasmine line focuses on hydration and I always love a good hydrating skincare product!

BoxyCharm Feb 2018 First Impressions

0

BoxyCharm is a monthly beauty subscription that focus mainly on makeup with 4-5 full size products. It costs $21 USD per month.

Click HERE to join BoxyCharm!

I have recently unsubscribed from Glossybox because they started to have repeat items and they focus more on the skincare side, which isn't a bad thing, but I have too much skincare backups already. I think makeup products would be more fun and I know BoxyCharm is a popular one that constantly have good feedback. I will see if I want to continue this subscription. If I do, there are 3, 6, or 12 months plans that could save me some money.

This month's theme is Galaxy Glow and products are mostly holographic or having a purple shift!

What I got:

Naked Cosmetics - Holographic Highlighter Palette
This holo packaged palette was the first thing that I saw when I opened this month's box. I think all brands are doing something holographic nowadays, which is great! I gasped when I opened the palette and saw the 6 different shades! OMG! They are so nice! They are not as soft and creamy as Becca highlighters but the color payoff is pretty good still. I am actually a bit chickened out on wearing these as highlighter since they are super colorful. They are beautiful regardless and I think it will be easier for me to wear them as eyeshadows.

Cover FX - Shimmer Veil in Amethyst
From the packaging I thought this was a holo lipgloss. It could be since it is a beautiful pink with purple shimmer. After reading the box I realized it is a liquid eyeshadow, similar to the famous Stila Liquid Metal shadows. It looks gorgeous! It dries down immediately after I blended it out and I have high hopes for this! So excited to give this a try on the eyes!

Crown Pro - Trio Brush Set
These brushes are so cute with the white and pink details. They are quite soft too. I will use the smallest one for eyeshadow, the medium one for... I am actually not sure. I don't really have a need for this size of brush. The large one for setting powder or contour/bronzer.

Bellapierre Cosmetics - Shimmer Powder in Lust
So by this point I think there is enough purple/pink products in this month's box. Haha. I have tried pigments from this brand before and they are pretty good! This is a nice lavender color and it can create a romantic look. The ingredients are simple enough too. Like!

Vintage Cosmetics - Smokey Eye Pencil in Jet Black
You can never have too many black eyeliners right? This ones swatches quite easily on my hand but it seems to smudge easily too but it doesn't claim to be long lasting. It emphasizes the creamy soft formula that can glide on the lids without tugging or pulling. I will still give this a try.

This month's bag is a nude pale pink suede-like textured bag with lace trim. It somehow reminds of sexy lingerie, which I think is what they are trying to do. It's pretty cute!

What I got:

Luxie Beauty - Blending and Shading Eye Brush
I have tried Luxie's brushes before and I really like them. This one is duo-ended and they are very soft. The blending side is more for a darker shadow placement brush for me instead of a blending brush. But I like it overall.

Marsk - Loose Eye Shadow in Foil Again - 1.2 g
This color is a metallic grey to silver depends on how the light is hitting it. It's quite metallic and it's gonna be loud wearing as a smoky eyes shadow! I don't really do a crazy smoky eye look too much nowadays but will definitely try to incorporate it somehow in my more natural eyelook.

Trestique - Eye Pencil in Swiss Chocolate - 0.24 g

I am just in need of a new dark brown eye pencil! This one swatches so creamy and glides so easily on my hand. Not sure about the staying powder though. Can't wait to try!

Sand & Sky - Brilliant Skin Pink Clay Mask - 0.45 oz

I love face masks and I always use clay masks to detox. Other than clay, this one contains
"aloe vera, mangosteen, and organic licorice that help tighten pores and brighten the complexion". Sounds pretty good!

Hey Honey - Face & Eye Makeup Remover - 12 mL
Oh I love it already when it says it's made with 100% natural ingredients. It's a gel that transforms into a cream when you rub it in. I will be definitely using this!

I kept adding little by little until I am happy with the result and we are done!
