FabFitFun Winter 2018

FabFitFun is a quarterly (4 boxes each year, 1 box per season) subscription box with beauty, fitness, and lifestyle items. It is $49.99 USD per box with more than $200 plus worth of products. I purchased this box with my own money.

What I got:

Thrive Causemetics - Eye Brightener

I quite enjoy the twist up brightener and I wear it in my inner lower eye line and inner corners. It brightens the eyes with a champagne sheen.

Bite Beauty - Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Meringue

I LOVE Bite and I am so happy to get one in this box. The color is peachy nude and it's so pretty. But it can be a bit washed out on my lips. I still like it for a nude look!

Sherrie Matthews - Jade Roller
I saw these jade rollers all over the places and I almost got myself one at Marshalls. I like giving myself a face massage and this will come in handy! It can also help massaging in products at the same time.

Blaq - Hydrogel Eye Masks
These eye masks contains hyaluronic acid for hydration and charcoal for detox and de-puff. Yes to both please. I love getting sheet masks and eye masks!

Ahava - Cream Mask
I have never tried a face product from this brand, always just hair and body stuff. I love masks and I do a face mask at least once a day. This mask contains mineral spring water, shea butter, and vitamin E which are all very rich and hydration. Very suitable for winter in a winter box!

Anthropologie X Mer-Sea - Body Cream in Coconut Sugar
This all natural body cream contains sea whip extract (what the hell is that??), sea silt and Dead Sea salt for nourishment and hydration. Another good product for the winter! It smells quite coconut and it is thick but not greasy. I like it!

Lele Sadoughi - Circle Necklace
This is a simple and cute necklace that is silver plated. I have worn it already and it was a nice addition to a simple outfit. It's very lightweight which I like too.

Bearpaw - Headband and Glove
This is quite a cute set for the colder time. I like the headband as I like to wear my pony or bun all the time and this will be perfect to add onto that. The pop-top glove is also perfect for the tech addicts like all of us!

Mark & Graham - Throw
This is actually my least excited product in this box. I think the material and color of this throw is just not cute and nice at all! To be honest, I am ready to re-gift this and hope someone else can enjoy it.

Purple Dotticure

0

Dotticures are easy and fun to do and they look pretty impressive right? Let's start.

For the base, I used this gorgeous lilac purple polish by Flormar which I got when I was in Spain.

Then I simply started painting dots with two tones of purples.

And I added a layer of silver dots on top and we are done!

Polishes used:
Silver - Mineral Fusion
Purple - Kiko
Lilac - Flormar
Magenta - Julep

0

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that comes with a new makeup bag and 5 beauty sample products for the price of $10 USD/month.

This month's bag is a dark purple color base with heart pattern all over it. I think it's pretty cute!

What I got:

Tarte - Blush in Quirky
I love Tarte and I am happy to see the Amazonian Clay blush in this bag. It's a nice peachy pink color that works really well with my skin tone. These blushes are pigmented and wear well!

Helios - Eyeshadow in Pinky's Up
This is an interesting textured shadow that feels bouncy and it changes from a cream to powder once applied. I am so happy with the color I got. It's a shimmery pinkish champagne which is super pretty!

Ciate - Translucent Setting Powder
I didn't know Ciate does powders! I think this brand is coming out with more makeup products. This is a finely milled powder for the face and it says it can also be used as a dry shampoo! Cool!

Skyn Iceland - Brightening Eye Serum
I like getting eye creams and serums in these subscription bags because they last a long time. This serum has cucumber extract to sooth and microalgae to improve fine lines and dark circles. Sounds pretty good!

Juice Beauty - Illuminating Primer
This primer is loaded with vitamins C and E as well as other antioxidant-rich ingredients! The consistency is lightweight so it is like a serum. It is a bit illuminating but not over killed. I think I will enjoy this!

Ipsy Oct 2018 First Impressions

This month's bag is in red with a embossed masquerade mask which is pretty cool! I like it!

What I got this month:

Yensa - Tone Up Primer
A new brand to me. This primer says it can refine, smooth, and even out the skin tone. It has a little pigment and claims to color correct, blurs imperfections, and gives skin a subtle glow. All very good claims but does it sound too good to be true? Haha.

Tarte - Shape Tape Concealer in Light Sand
I love Shape Tape and I own this shade as well! It's a very full coverage concealer and it doesn't cake up badly like some other full coverage concealer. I am happy to get a travel size of this!

Space Case - Blush in It's Not Me, It's My Sign
I have never heard of this brand before but this seems to be a nice blush since it feels so soft to touch and it's very smooth on the skin. I got this in a cute girly pink shade. It's very pigmented as well. I like it!

Hey Honey - Eye Mask
This is an interesting product. It says to pat this eye mask underneath the eyes and wait for 3-5 minutes, then massage the remaining product into the skin. I have never tried doing something like this. I like bee/honey product and this one is loaded with propolis which is supposed to heal, balance, and hydrate the skin. Can't wait to try this!

Akar - Face Oil
I laughed out loud when I open this and found such a TINY bottle of sample. This thing must be expensive?? There is only 2 mL in this bottle. Anyway, this face oil contains baobab oil (high in oleic acid, antioxidants, and vitamins A, D and E) and jojoba oil. I like using a face oil at the end of my skincare routine and I might get 3-4 uses out of this.

Simple Purple and Yellow

0

Here's a simple diagonal two colors mani!

The base was a pastel yellow by Kiko.

Then I painted a triangle with this purple polish by Zoya.

I completed the mani with a silver glitter stripe along the seam and we are done!

Polishes used:
Yellow - Kiko
Purple - Zoya
Silver - Spa Ritual

This month's bag has a pair of eyes lashes on black canvas with gold accent trims and I think it's pretty cute!

What I got this month:

BRTC - Sheet Mask x 2
I have heard of this Korean brand years ago but haven't used their products lately. I love face masks and these sheet masks are just what I need. The Vitamin C one brightens the skin while and Vitamin F (is there a Vitamin F?) regenerates. Yes to both! I am excited to try these.

Trèstique - Lip Glas in Mumbai Magenta
This lip stick is quite comfortable to wear and it contains coconut and peach oils. However, it claims to be highly-pigmented which I do not agree. The pigment is low and you need to do a few swipes to see the color payoff.

Benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer
I am actually quite disappointed to get this, because this product has been around for a long time, and I own both the full size, travel size, in a palette... already. Other than that, this is a great cool toned bronzer and it's perfect for contouring. It is very blendable and it gives a even finish.

Evelyn Iona - Green Tea Primer
This is my first time using a product from this brand. This primer uses organic green tea and avocado oil which provide hydration and antioxidant. It feels like a light cream on the skin. I will most likely still use another pore blurring primer on top.

Neuma - Leave In Conditioner
It's always nice to get travel sized hair products because I need products on the go for my long color treated hair. This spray is nice and lightweight and it claims to detangle, hydrate, tame frizz, repair and protect from heat styling. Yes to all!

Coral Waterfall Nails

0

Let's do another easy waterfall style manicure! You can use any color combination you like.

This time I used a bright coral as the base.

Then I painted on some thin straight strokes using a fine detailing brush with white, purple, and lilac.

It is always nice to add some glitter! I used a gold one to complete the look.

Polishes used:
Coral, Gold - Julep
Dark Purple - Zoya, Kiko
Lilac - Flormar
White - Deborah Lippmann

FabFitFun Fall 2018

0

FabFitFun is a quarterly (4 boxes each year, 1 box per season) subscription box with beauty, fitness, and lifestyle items. It is $49.99 USD per box with more than $200 plus worth of products.

This is my first box from FabFitFun and I subscribed to this because of the spoiler preview. This is the good thing with this subscription, that you get to know what will be coming in next box and decide to join or not. I will probably be canceling the subscription and might join again if there is another box that interests me!

What I got:

Vince Camuto - Tote in Red Desert
This tote grabbed my interest in joining FabFitFun. I want something like this for work to throw in my laptop, lunch, and miscellaneous items! I like Vince Camuto as a brand (really like their shoes!) This tote is made of vegan leather and it is huge! I can throw in all the things I need! Yay!

GlamGlow - Bubble Sheet Mask x2
I love GlamGlow and I have tried most of their masks in a tub. I think this sheet mask is a new product from them. It says the sheet mask will bubble up on the face and it will detoxify and deep cleanse the skin in 3 minutes. Interesting! You need to rinse out the face like you do after using a face wash. Can't wait to try!

Beauty Blender
Do I need to explain anymore? This is a good value item. I use this blender everyday for blending foundation and concealer so another one is always welcome!

Alfred Teapot
Another item that also drew me to this box. How cute is this teapot!? I love drinking tea, especially loose tea leaves, and I will sure put this into good use!

Cylo - Bluetooth Wireless Headphones
Another item that I really wanted from this box when I saw the spoiler was this wireless headphones! I like going for a walk while listening / watching something on my phone and this would be perfect without the wire! I got the chic white one!

Grown Alchemist - Polishing Facial Exfoliant
I have never heard of this brand before but this looks fancy in a metal tube! It is a gentle face scrub with some beneficial properties. I will try this for sure!

Farmacy - Eye Cream
I love getting eye cream from these boxes. I know this brand uses good natural ingredients and I am excited to try it! It claims to reduce fine lines and dark circles, I think all of us would want that.

Skin&Co Roma - Shower Gel
The scent of this shower gel includes wild sage, lemon, and alpine rose, which is inspired by farmers in Capri, Italy. Pretty cool and it sounds high end!

Luna - Rica Bar
I got the salted caramel flavoured cashew butter fruit and nut bar. It is quite small and it is advertised as a snack bar on the go. It is also certified organic! However, I didn't enjoy the texture of this. This isn't your normal granola bar, it is more like a fruit and jam snack with mushy texture.
